THE PROJECT
Project Ranger was a greenfield project to construct a new facility for an American aerospace manufacturer. With global service operations, the company built the advanced manufacturing center on a 100-acre site in South Asheville. This local plant will make airfoils for civilian and military engines, including the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and several Airbus and Embraer civilian jets.
Fessler & Bowman completed the cast-in-place retaining walls, deep foundations, structural concrete and slab-on-grade concrete on-schedule and within the budget. A fast-paced, design-build environment required adaptability and team focused thinking throughout which contributed to the success of this project.
